How To Choose An Electric Fencing Energiser

We speak to our customers everyday on the phone and on email and one of the most common questions we are asked is how do I choose an electric fencing energiser... which energiser is right for our animals and our fence?

There is a check list you need to go through to find the right electric fencing energiser for your livestock and your fence.

1. What type of power are you going to use?  Will you use mains, battery or battery solar?

1.  Check your power source? If mains - are all the connections still nice and tight no fraying? If battery - battery still charging? Are the energiser battery connections in place? If you are using a solar panel with a battery - is the solar panel in the correct

Here are some tips on what to check to make sure your netting is running at full capacity:

1.  Use your KV10 LED fence tester for this as not only does it let you know the fence has power but it tells you how much power
2.  Your netting is up and in place and has been for some time: (please make sure you turn the power off before you do theses checks)

• Is the battery nice and charged? Is it connected to the fence in the correct way (from the energiser to the fence red clip to netting connection
