The Hotline Hot Gate

Hello sunshine in East Lothian and its welcomed by the singing of the birds and clucking of hens. After what feels like a long wet windy winter how is the your ground around your poultry netting gate? Churned up like a Clydesdale has ploughed through?? I bet it is and for those of you thinking no my ground is fine is it because you already have the lovely convenient Hotline HOT GATE?

What can a Hot Gate do for you?

Well let me tell you a wee bit about the HOT GATE and

PREMIUM 3 REEL SYSTEM - 500M 9 STRAND TURBOBRAID WITH GEARED REELS this amazing system has been made even better by changing the polywire to braided polywire - so instead of it being twisted its braided for strength its 1mm thicker (3mm in total) and has a higher breaking strain of 105 kg, so zapper and stronger (all you need to make it even better is for someone to put the fence up for you)

Why would you use this three reel system? 

There are many applications for Three Reel Systems and they are employed for many different reasons: to facilitate strip grazing, to fence off seasonal sheep/cattle grazing, to protect walls or hedges, and as a temporary barrier.  These fences are quick and easy to put up and likewise take down and store.  Theses systems are a semi-permanent and sometimes a permanent solution to livestock containment and can be made into any configuration.

Here are some things to check and look out for.

1.  Check your power source? If mains - are all the connections still nice and tight no fraying? If battery - battery still charging? Are the energiser battery connections in place? If you are using a solar panel with a battery - is the solar panel in the correct

Here are some tips on what to check to make sure your netting is running at full capacity:

1.  Use your KV10 LED fence tester for this as not only does it let you know the fence has power but it tells you how much power
2.  Your netting is up and in place and has been for some time: (please make sure you turn the power off before you do theses checks)

• Is the battery nice and charged? Is it connected to the fence in the correct way (from the energiser to the fence red clip to netting connection

Battery Tips:
