Solar Panels

Hello all - do you need to keep badgers out by using an electric fence?
Yet again the badgers are out in force... we are getting more and more calls this week about badgers either turning over the garden, getting into the veg patch or even turning over the bird feeders for food so below we have some kits that might help you. In August 2014 we were contacted and asked to supply some electric fencing to keep 28 horses enclosed in the evenings on The Warhorse Ride 2014. We did so with pleasure and asked in return to see some pictures of this great ride. The horses that were to be enclosed were militry horses who were taking part in The Warhorse Ride in commemoration of all the men and horses who were invloved in the early part of the Great War.

Well hello November,
And wow how it has suddenly turned bitterly cold and frosty. Now is the time of year when the grass is getting low and the weather has turned when you need to pay attention to your battery, charging it and the care and maintaince to see you through to the spring.

Solar set-ups
If you are using a solar set-up then as our UK day-lengths get shorter (usually Nov to march) you'll need to recharge your 12v batteries using a mains charger since the sun alone won't be enough to keep the battery topped up. (If you don't recharge the battery regularly over the winter you will damage the battery ..and have to buy a new one..so beware!).

Getting the Electric Fencing Ready For Winter
Yip, winter's almost upon us...Brr!
It's definitely worth spending a bit of time checking the electric fences which are looking after your livestock and property just now, before the weather gets any worse so here are some of Billy Boy’s tips to get the best out of your electric fencing:
The fencer/energiser
• Turn it on or connect to battery and see if it flashes. If not take it to be checked or send in to manufacturer for repair. Check your warranty
